In tourism marketing, when your territory is large and wide, and you feel your customer is not stopping at your location, then it might be a good option to meet your customer where they are.
This was the case for Fort Nelson's Visitor Information Centre. Travelers coming from the Yukon and going south on the Alaska Highway towards Fort Nelson were missing out on some amazing attractions along the way.
To overcome this problem, we helped Fort Nelson convert an old travel trailer into a beautiful traveling information center. The trailer was placed at Liard Hotspring to catch the travelers going South on the Alaska Highway to provided them with various tourism marketing collateral from hiking trails to ATV opportunities and camping options.
We wrapped each side of the trailer with stunning graphics and scenery.
This beauty can be seen on the Alaska Highway at the Liard River Hotsprings. If you see it, be sure to step inside the trailer and experience the northern lights.
According to Krista Vandersteen from Tourism Northern Rockies, "This approach was a great success. The response from the travelers that visited the trailer was great, and the trailer had to be restocked with tourism marketing collateral multiple times! We are certainly looking forward to using the trailer in this summer."
